Whew ! My goal for the week was to relax but that didn't ever happen !! We ran nonstop from the moment Dan got here. We got so much accomplished though and it feels wonderful !! We refinished two dressers, bought a large new bookcase, bought a new washer and dryer, and the list goes on and on.
The kids were each able to spend a special day with Daniel all to themselves. Ella chose to go to the zoo and Austin chose Dave and Busters. His last night home Dan and Austin decided to go see Transformers. They both gave it thumbs up !
We were able to celebrate both Father's Day and his birthday as a family which was a blessing. I surprised him with a new Xbox 360 to take back with him. He packed it up in his carry on like he was smuggling a baby ! LOL !! We are now the household to beat when it comes to gaming systems. My boys have Nintendo DS, PSP (2 - 1 for each), Wii, Playstation 3 and now an Xbox 360 !! That is RIDICULOUS !! I don't care to even add up how much that calculates out too - it would make me sick.
I love to spoil Dan though and surprise him with gifts he never expects ! The smiles are priceless.
He spoiled me a little this weekend as well but that's for another post entirely (let's just say my bedroom has been OVERHAULED !!! I don't even recognize it myself !!) .
We'll miss him now that he's gone again but we are more than halfway done with this deployment !! Hurry up already !! I want my man home !
