I might talk and see my mom pretty often, but we very rarely get a day to hang out and do fun stuff together. The plan had been to take the kids to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and spend the day in Colorado Springs, but I got a terrible migraine the night before. I tried to sleep most of it off so we had to have a change of plans.
We decided just to head to "The Barn" and look around. We packed up the kids and off we went for a little mother/daughter shopping time. My mom had never been before and I was on the hunt for an old window pane.
I have been on the hunt for an old style desk for Ella. One of the first things I saw when getting out of the car was this one ....
I thought about buying it but in my dreams, I'm really hoping to find one more along these lines .....

The Barn is an antique store with different vendors. This is my favorite part of the entire store. It's like stepping right back into Europe.

We decided to go to a yummy dinner at Black Eyed Pea. All the ones by us have closed. The food was great !
